Brunch Meeting - August

Good evening, Golfers!

This Saturday is the Valhalla Club Fall Classic Golf Tournament at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione. Registration starts at 8AM with a shotgun start at 9 AM. There will be complimentary range balls out on the range for you to warm up after getting signed in.

The tournament is a best ball tournament, meaning your foursome is to all play from the same spot, decide the best of the shots, and then collect your other shots and all play from that same spot.

We are playing from the white tees.

You must use 2 drives from each player. Please mark with an X on your score card when you use each player’s drive.

Lunch will be served at the conclusion of the tournament!

Keep in mind a few add-ons at the registration table:

Raffle tickets will be for sale for $1 per ticket or a sheet of 26 tickets for $20.
Challenge Cards will be for sale for $20. This gets you entry into 2 longest drive competitions (holes 1 and 13), 2 closest to the pin competitions (holes 2 and 16), and a putting competition (located on the practice green before the shotgun start).
Mulligans are for sale for $5 each.

Also there are some on-course add-on activities:

On hole 10, for $20/attempt, you can use the slingshot ball launcher with your teammates to try and shoot your ball to the green.
On hole 11 (a short par 3), you can bet $10 on your accuracy. Everyone is guaranteed $10 in raffle tickets. If you land anywhere on the green, you get $20 worth of tickets. If you stick it within 3 feet of the pin, you get $40 in raffle tickets!
On hole 5, for $20, you can draw a card that will either have a great benefit for you that hole (a par 5) or a penalty for your team to live by for that hole (play entire hole with a 9 iron, etc). If you draw a penalty card and choose to purchase and draw again, your next card will cancel out the previous draw. There will be more positive cards than negative cards in the draw.

All on-site payments will be collected through Venmo (@valhallaclubgalt) or credit card via Square. Keep in mind that all money donated via this golf tournament is 100% tax-deductible.
